What It Costs, Straight Up

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. It's a $0 Call Out Fee, every time, whether it's midday or the middle of the night. You only pay for the work you approve, fixed before anyone picks up a tool.

How do your quotes work?

A licensed plumber looks at the job, explains what's wrong, then gives you a number on the spot. You approve it before any work starts, so there's nothing to guess at.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions, even if the job turns out trickier than it looked going in.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, free quotes with no obligation to book. You can hear the number and say no thanks, and that's fine by us.

Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

Only appropriately licensed tradespeople can carry out gas fitting in NSW, and that's exactly who we send. It's not a job for a general handyman, and we won't cut that corner.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Yes. We work under NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and we're licensed and insured on every job. Ask for it any time, we'd rather you check than wonder.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

Broadly, everything from your property boundary in is yours, and the mains beyond that sit with the water authority. If you're not sure which side a blockage falls on, we'll check it on-site and tell you straight. We can't speak for the water authority's own fees, so confirm those with them directly.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Turning off the water at the meter stops most leaks getting worse, and that's the one thing worth doing yourself. If you smell gas, leave the property and call from outside; don't flick switches or light flames.

Speed, Hours and Booking

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, including weekends and public holidays. A real person answers the phone every time, whatever hour you call.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Burst pipes, no hot water, blocked drains backing up, gas smells and overflowing toilets all count. If water or gas is where it shouldn't be, ring us and we'll tell you what to do next.

How fast can you get here?

We're on-site fast, day or night. Exact timing depends on where you are and what's already on the board, but a licensed plumber will always talk it through with you on the call.

How does the callback form work?

Pop your details in and we call back fast, day or night. Calling (02) 9138 6522 straight away is usually quicker if the job can't wait.

Properly Local to Willoughby

Why do Willoughby's older homes keep us busy?

Plenty of Willoughby's Federation and bungalow homes were built before 1940 and still carry gas fittings from that era. Owners hold onto these houses for decades, so hot water systems and old fittings often run well past when they should've been replaced.

Which suburbs do you service?

Willoughby and the surrounding Willoughby area, plus Chatswood, Artarmon, Naremburn, Northbridge and Lindfield. If you're just outside that list, call anyway and we'll let you know.

What does heavy rain do to Willoughby's plumbing?

Willoughby sits on undulating ground that falls away toward gullies like Flat Rock Gully, so stormwater concentrates fast in low-lying drain runs during a heavy downpour. Older stormwater lines on sloping blocks can surcharge and back up when that happens.

How local are you to Willoughby, really?

Willoughby Road and Penshurst Street are on our regular run, not somewhere we pass through on the way to a bigger job. We know the mix of Federation homes and later infill units well enough to have a good guess at what's wrong before we even knock.
